Credits explained

Know what you are buying before you generate.

SurfStats Studio uses credits so creators can use many different AI tools without guessing which outside provider is being called behind the scenes. Every credit-based tool should show the cost before you run the job.

Plain-language rule
Credits are consumed when a generation or paid analysis job starts.
  • Simple text jobs normally cost less than media generation.
  • Images, voiceovers, clips and AI videos cost more because outside AI/rendering services may be used.
  • When a paid generation fails because of a provider/rendering error, SurfStats Studio should refund the charged credits.
  • Abuse, repeated failures, chargebacks or suspicious activity may trigger account review.
Before you run
Generation pages should show the estimated credit cost before the charge is made.
Failed jobs
Provider or render failures should refund the charged credits automatically where the job was charged.
Subscription credits
Plan credits refresh each billing cycle. They do not roll over after the cycle ends.
Credit packs
Top-up packs add extra credits for one-off bursts of work without changing your subscription plan.
Cost examples

What uses more or fewer credits?

Exact costs can change by provider, model, duration, resolution and output count. The generation page is the final source of truth before you click generate.

Compare plans
Workflow Typical cost level Why it varies
Scripts, titles, ideas and simple text tools Lower Mostly text generation or analysis; cost can vary by length and model.
Local authenticity scan Lower Uses local rules and metadata checks instead of expensive media generation.
AI deep authenticity review Medium Uses AI review and can cost more than local-only checks.
Thumbnails, images and character images Medium Provider, image size, model choice and number of generated images affect the charge.
Voiceovers and audio generation Medium Voice provider, text length and voice model affect the charge.
AI video, clipping, rendering and advanced video tools Higher Video tools use more compute and can depend on duration, provider, resolution and render settings.

Subscription credit rules

  • Monthly plans receive a fresh credit allowance each monthly cycle.
  • Annual plans refresh credits monthly, depending on the configured plan rules.
  • Unused subscription credits do not roll over after the cycle ends.
  • Paid plans and checkout are handled through LemonSqueezy.

Refund and review rules

  • Provider or rendering failures should refund credits when SurfStats Studio charged the job.
  • Cancelled jobs, blocked abuse, invalid inputs, unsupported files or policy-blocked generations may not always qualify for a refund.
  • Repeated suspicious activity can temporarily limit credit spending while the account is reviewed.
  • Ask support if a job failed and the credits were not returned.
