YouTube connection status in this build

The current SurfStats Studio build keeps normal account sign-in separate from YouTube permissions. YouTube channel OAuth connection is disabled in this build, and Google Sign-In does not request YouTube scopes.

Important: Users can create videos, thumbnails, scripts, audio, and clips in SurfStats Studio without giving SurfStats Studio access to their YouTube account.
Current behavior

No channel OAuth in this build

  • No YouTube readonly scope requested during normal login
  • No YouTube Analytics scope requested during normal login
  • No upload, publish, edit, or delete scope requested during normal login
  • Users review and export generated assets themselves
If YouTube features return later

Explicit connection only

Future YouTube features should use a separate “Connect YouTube Channel” step, explain the exact permissions before consent, and allow users to disconnect and delete connected YouTube data from Settings.

User-facing workflow

How creators use SurfStats Studio without YouTube OAuth

  1. Create a script, video, voiceover, thumbnail, image, or clip inside SurfStats Studio.
  2. Review and edit the generated asset.
  3. Download or export the final file.
  4. Upload or publish it manually through the creator's own platform account.
This page helps users and reviewers understand that SurfStats Studio's creator tools and normal Google Sign-In are not the same as granting YouTube channel access.
